SEASONAL WASTE SITE ATTENDANT
Open until position filled.
The Municipality of Harrison Park is seeking a Seasonal Summer Employee at the Onanole Waste Disposal Site.
Must be willing to complete the SWANA Landfill Basic Operator Certification Course.
Competitive Wages
Employment will commence immediately, ending October 15th, 2024 (41 hours per week).
Some duties include:
- Receive and direct the placement of all landfill material;
- Receive and sort all recyclables and report when shipments are ready to go;
- Maintain buildings, grounds and equipment in a clean and orderly manner acceptable to the Municipality;
- Follow all rules and regulations as per Manitoba Conservation Landfill Operating License;
- Collect and record tipping fees and all other charges associated with the waste site;
- Perform all duties in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations and meet the requirements of the Municipality’s COR certification;
- Must have a valid Manitoba Landfill Operator Certificate or be willing to enroll and obtain certification;
- Any/all other duties as requested by the Municipality.
This position is based on the following hours:
Summer Hours: April 15th to October 15th
Monday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Tuesday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Wednesday CLOSED
Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sunday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
